Where it falls in the year: weekend around 27 September.
The idea of the Ukusi juga (Tastes of the South) festival is to bring producers of home-made food and drink from the south of Serbia together in one place. The first festival, in 2018, had 54 exhibitors. The organiser is the Tourist Organisation of Vlasotince.
In 2025 visitors tasted home-made sausages, which every restaurant in Vlasotince makes to its own recipe, ajvar of torn peppers and home-made pogača, and Banovo pivo, “Vlasotince beer with a story”, was on tap. The festival also had an educational exhibition of mushrooms from the “Dani gljiva” (Mushroom Days).
The women’s association “Vlasinski zagrljaj” brings together women who make winter preserves and food in the traditional way, to recipes from this area.
For 2026, as JuGmedia reported, the organisers decided to move the whole event to the embankment.
