Local History Museum “Turska kula”
The only building from the Turkish period in Vlasotince, put up in the 18th century on the remains of a Roman castrum.

The Turska kula (Turkish Tower) is the only building from the Turkish period in Vlasotince. It was built in the 18th century, on the remains of a Roman castrum, and the Local History Museum in it opened to the public in 1979.

The collection
The most prominent collection on display is the Collection of Old Serbian Prints, the bequest of Professor Miodrag Nagorni, a painter and printmaker born in Vlasotince in 1932.
The Local History Museum opened to the public in 1979. It is part of the Cultural Centre Vlasotince, whose address is also AVNOJ-a 1.
Exhibitions in 2026
In February 2026 the museum marked 140 years since the birth of Hristifor Crnilović, a painter and collector born in Vlasotince in 1886, with an exhibition.
In September of the same year the museum marked the centenary of the first issue of the newspaper “Vlasina” with an exhibition of newspapers, photographs and books. The first issue came out on 16 September 1926.
