To mark the birthday of Hristifor Crnilović, 8 February 1886, the Cultural Centre organises a three-day programme.
Crnilović was a painter, researcher of traditional culture and collector. He was noticed at the Paris Salon in 1923. He first photographed members of his family, and from 1919 the people of Vlasotince, its old buildings and the panorama of the town. His ethnographic collection is now on display in Manak’s House (Manakova kuća) in Belgrade. He died in Vlasotince in 1963.
His house is at Dimitrija Stojanovića 3. The Cultural Centre building stands on the site of a former hotel that belonged to his father, Proka Crnilović.
